Q: My computer is running Windows XP, recently discovered that when you click "Resource Manager" tool bar on the "Search" button or press the F3 key, the system without any response. Is this why? How do I fix?

A: The emergence of this cause of the problem should be the search service component is damaged, you can use the following methods to solve the problem:

(1) First enter C: Windowsinf folder (the folder attributes to hidden, can be the first through "Folder Options" is set to lift hidden).

(2) Right-click the srchasst.inf documents in the pop-up context menu, select "Install" command.

(3) At this point, the system will prompt you to insert the Windows XP installation CD-ROM, the operation to re-install Windows XP's search service components, the installation is complete should be able to be resolved.
